Long tailed SHrike

 

Long tailed shrike:  The long-tailed shrike or rufous-backed shrike is a member of the bird family Laniidae, the shrikes. They are found widely distributed across Asia and there are variations

Parting with a trusty steed/Bull

 

8 years and 34000 km later, trip to Arunachal, Meghalaya, Azwal, Sikkim, Darjeeling, Nepal,  a steady Steed this bike has been for me.

 We part ways, may the bike have a good journey here on too with its new owner.  Sniff Sniff!

Bharadwaj aka Greater Coucal

 

Greater Coucal came visiting my house  .

Woke up to the scratching of a bird trapped in stairwell, after a few attempts to help it go on its own, had to just go grab the bird, happy it did not strike out of fear at me, but co-operated,,

 

Am told they bring good luck, Happy Holi everyone

Holi signifies the end of winter and the arrival of spring. It is a celebration of the season's renewal, symbolizing new beginnings, life, and hope. Spring represents fertility, rejuvenation, and the vibrancy of nature, which is reflected in the colorful celebration
