Living by the river today

I was to go for a wedding, am all excited got my best clothes out train is on 29th, a cousin called he had mistakenly booked a ticked for me from KOL, well had booked a ticked from Jamshedpur where I was and it was RLWL1, (remote location waiting list) -1

Had booked the ticked 60 days in advance was sure it will get confirmed so asked my cousin to cancel the ticked he had booked for me, But then what do you know my Wait listed ticked stayed the same and did not get confirmed, do disappointed was I that I canceled my return ticked right away (YA YA I could have taken a flight) but then I was so disappointed ,,,

Long story short now I am sitting on the roof, watching the water rise in the river by my house and wondering if this was divine intervention to keep me home as water level might get to high that floods hit Jamshedpur like it has hit Orissa and the same river that passes by my house is coming from Orissa so maybe, just maybe I need to be ready to move my car and bike and help others in distress.

YUP thats me now

to return home

No matter how far I go , the journey back is always a pleasure, to sleep in ones own bed, to have simple home made food, to be greeted by whoever is at home, well what makes the birds head out and return, what do they look for ,,,

Juvenile Black Kite

Black kite: juvenile(child) sits outside its nest, curious and absorbing the world around, in slow motion and in real time.

black kites (Milvus migrans)? • They live on four continents — Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia — but not in North or South America. • Black kites are probably the most numerous raptor in the world. Wikipedia says there are 6.7 million of them! • They eat almost anything: lizards, birds, small mammals and insects. They even scavenge at garbage dumps. • Unlike most raptors black kites form huge flocks, especially in winter. • In Australia black kites flock to eat grasshoppers when there’s a grasshopper plague. Gulls did this in Utah • Black kites are also attracted to smoke and fires because they catch prey escaping the fire.

Paradise Fly catcher

The glimpse of the white streak as the bird fly by the paradise flycatcher is here, migratory from Western Ghats is told, but what a lovely sight to see it fly The male is white with a long tail and an absolute delight to watch it fly The male Asian paradise flycatcher is an unforgettable bird famous for its glossy black crested head, electric-blue eye-ring, and two trailing, ribbon-like tail feathers that can grow up to 30 cm long. Males exhibit stunning color phases and dynamic aerial hunting habits as they dart through shaded forests

The glimpse of the brown bird flying around is the female paradise flycatcher is here, migratory from Western Ghats. Indian paradise flycatchers are found all across India and in deciduous and evergreen forests, mangroves, and even in green urban areas of the Indian subcontinent.
