Its annual summer holiday time for my cook. So I am all-alone and before she left (my cook) there was a production line of food made to help me sustain myself for the next 4 days J after which time I will also be going to my parents Golden anniversary.

Blue moon is special because it is accompanied by an eclipse, an event that has not occurred in the last five to six decades. A lunar eclipse occurs whenever the moon passes through some portion of the earth’s shadow. This can occur only when the sun, earth and moon are aligned exactly or very closely aligned with earth in the middle. Lunar eclipse occurs only on a full moon day. “The full moon has to happen on the first or the second day of the month and the month must be of 31 days for such an event to occur. It has perfectly matched this month and hence the rarity.

On a whim I mentioned I wanted to have Litti, at a friends  (Daniel and Noopur) place,

They no longer live with his parents, yes I am fond of their parents, and parents being parents went all out to make it happen.  Thank u dear uncle and aunt.  Takes a big heart to do it no doubt and am glad such people exist to make out days better.

Litti is a made by making a paste of ground chana+ lasun+ adrak + dhanya+ ajwine+ nimbu, which is inserted inside a layer of ground wheat, and roasted over slow fire (the fire has to be made by burning cow dung dried in sun.

Most of this is a hassle to get in a city, but then when did such little details stop folks who are set on making a son happy, falter.  Lucky we sure are.

The week that was 26/11,

Some cried and empathized

Some exploited it to the hilt

Some kept quiet

We saw:

Exhibitions that had self-serving agenda for the artists

News channels that was trying for a piece of the action

Regular channels that were in the game too

Newspapers where the writers took a holiday, while the newspapers dug up old injuries, oops- meant old stories

I tried to keep quiet too, looked up and saw this image as the sun set on the day.
