Mclaudgunj day 2.

Hillside is always a pleasure to see and enjoy, as evening sets in and lights come on all over, its creation of man and art of life( if that makes sense)

We started the day with paratha, yes Paratha in the hills, and it tastes good just like a good chef makes it happen in the kitchen.

Next stop was Dalai Lama Temple,  which is personal temple of 14th Dalai lama, set in Main Market, and calm and quiet once you are inside the complex, one can spend a good hour here and enjoy the tranquility. but then our restless self woke up, and onward we went.

we were not feeling hungry even though the clock read 1300 hours we decided to go for a long walk, the target was Dal lake,

we were told there is not much water in the lake so why bother?  But for us the journey is more spectacular then just the destination so we went along and the Roads and setting was amazing,  the path we took  was a  treat to they eyes

The lake really was not much to write home about, but the walk was amazing, distance was 4.5 km from Mcleodgunj each way  and it helped us build up a appetite.  approx we had walked 14 km on this day.

Interestingly along the way every 200 – 300 meters there were sacks that are to be used as a trash collector, when there is a will there is a way, very innovative.

Lunch was at - Lotus Leaf drumstick restaurant for more MOMO and Thuppa, it sure was enjoyable after the long walk we were hungry and savored the taste of the treats.

The evening rolled on and we are mentally thinking about Dalhousie our next stop.
